Weighted bags
Worms for Cross Training and functional training are designed to be used by several athletes simultaneously. Their elongated format and irregular weight distribution require coordination of strength, grip, balance, and movement during every exercise.
At Fitness Tech, you will find worms for 2, 3, and 4 people, with different lengths, weights, and numbers of compartments. All models are manufactured to withstand intensive use and are particularly suitable for Cross Training boxes, sports centers, and team workouts.
Our worms are made from 4 mm 900D Oxford fabric, with double stitching and an embroidered logo. They are delivered filled and ready to use, with reconfigurable weight bags that allow the load distribution to be modified.
What is a worm and what is it used for?
The worm is an elongated weighted bag with an irregular weight distribution, designed to be lifted, carried, and moved by several athletes. Unlike a conventional individual load, its length and weight distribution mean that movement requires coordination among all participants.
Its use is especially associated with functional training, Cross Training, WODs, and team workouts. It allows athletes to perform cleans, carries, team front squats, and coordinated movements, combining strength, stability, grip, and coordination work.
Differences between worm, sandbag, and Bulgarian bag
The worm differs from other weighted bags through its elongated format, irregular load distribution, and design for simultaneous work by several athletes. Whereas a conventional weighted bag is primarily intended for individual training, the worm is designed for coordinated team lifting and movement.
This configuration makes the worm particularly suitable for workouts in which several participants must move and stabilize the same load in sync.
Why uneven loading trains differently
The uneven weight distribution means that the load does not remain completely stable during movement. Athletes must coordinate and adjust their grip while maintaining control of the worm during each exercise.
This feature adds an element of stability, coordination and grip work that distinguishes the worm from other loads used individually.
2-, 3- and 4-Person Worm
Fitness Tech offers three worm models. They all share the same materials and construction, but differ in length, total weight and number of compartments. The choice depends mainly on the number of athletes who will use it simultaneously and the space available.
- 2-Person Worm: 150 cm long and weighing 64 kg, divided into two compartments. It is the most manageable model in the range and is designed for partner work.
- 3-Person Worm: 240 cm long and weighing 97 kg, divided into three compartments. It is the mid-size model in the range and is designed for coordinated work between three athletes.
- 4-Person Worm: 330 cm long and weighing 125 kg, divided into four compartments. It is the longest and heaviest model in the range and is designed for teams of four athletes.
Comparison of dimensions, weight and required space
The worm’s dimensions and weight determine both the number of athletes who can work simultaneously and the space required during movements. All three Fitness Tech models are available in different formats to adapt training to the group size.
| Model | People | Length | Weight | Compartments |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2-Person Worm | 2 | 150 cm | 64 kg | 2 |
| 3-Person Worm | 3 | 240 cm | 97 kg | 3 |
| 4-Person Worm | 4 | 330 cm | 125 kg | 4 |
Which model to choose for your box
To choose the right worm, it is important to consider the number of athletes who will train simultaneously and the space available for performing the exercises.
The 2-Person Worm is the most compact format in the range and is intended for partner work. The 3-Person Worm allows a team of three athletes to train together, while the 4-Person Worm is designed for groups of four and offers the greatest length and total load in the range.
Uneven and adjustable weight for every level
One of the main features of the worm is the ability to reconfigure the load distribution. The 10 and 20 kg weight bags can be repositioned between the different compartments to modify how the weight is distributed.
This configuration makes it possible to adapt the level of difficulty using the same worm and modify the load distribution according to training needs.
How to configure the weight bags
Fitness Tech worms use 10 and 20 kg weight bags that can be repositioned between the compartments. This makes it possible to modify the load distribution without changing models.
The ability to configure the bags allows the worm to be adapted to different sessions and training levels, especially when athletes with different abilities participate.
Exercises and WODs with the worm
The worm is designed for exercises in which several athletes must move and stabilize a load in a coordinated manner. Its format allows it to be integrated into functional training, circuits, and team-based WODs.
Movements that can be performed with the worm include cleans, team front squats, carries, and coordinated movements. These exercises require participants to maintain synchronized execution while controlling a load whose weight is distributed unevenly.
Basic movements: clean, front squat, and carry
Clean: allows the worm to be lifted from a lower position and placed in a loaded position, coordinating the movement among the different athletes.
Front squat: the worm is held in a front position while participants perform the squat in a coordinated manner. The uneven load distribution requires maintaining stability throughout the movement.
Transport: allows the worm to be moved while several athletes maintain control of the load and coordinate their movements.
Professional construction for intensive use
Fitness Tech worm sandbags are manufactured to withstand the demands of functional training and intensive use. Their exterior is made of 4 mm Oxford 900D fabric and features double stitching to reinforce the areas subjected to greater tension.
The closure with a zipper protected by a double Velcro flap keeps the filling in place during movement. The worm contains a filling composed of NBR and sand, which can be removed to facilitate transport and maintenance.
Maintenance, cleaning, and warranty
The removable filling facilitates transporting and maintaining the worm. The construction with Oxford 900D fabric and double stitching is designed to withstand the demands of load training.
Fitness Tech products come with the applicable warranty and after-sales service. To learn about the specific conditions applicable to each product, you can consult our warranty information or contact our team.
Other weighted sandbags in our catalog
In addition to worm sandbags, Fitness Tech offers different solutions for functional training and load training, including power bags, sand bags, Bulgarian bags, and slam balls.
Each type of equipment meets different training needs. Individual weighted sandbags allow athletes to train independently, while the worm is specifically designed to move a load between several athletes.
Shipping, assembly, and financing
The worm sandbags available from Fitness Tech are delivered filled and ready to use, so there is no need to fill them before starting training.
If you need advice choosing between the 2-, 3-, or 4-person models, our team can help you select the most suitable format based on the number of athletes and the characteristics of your training space.
